]]> Condoleezza Rice has played down mounting speculation that she was seeking to be John McCain’s running mate.

But the US secretary of state failed to stop the rumours in Washington that she is interested in the vice-presidency.

Mr McCain has compiled a list of 20 possible vice-presidential candidates, and many in the Republican Party are keen for Miss Rice’s name to be included.

They cite her experience, popularity with voters and, as the country’s most prominent female black politician, her ability to offset the appeal of Barack Obama, the likely Democratic Party nominee who is aiming to become the first black US president.

But I had to put that project on the back burner for now. During my research I noticed that there is very little unbiased information available on water filters and filtration techniques.
